December 06, 2012

Because of a reporting error, an item that appeared on Page A4 of the Nov. 24 edition of the Times had incorrect criminal charges against James J. Pierson, 43, of North Falmouth. The date of his pretrial hearing was also incorrect. On Nov. 21, Pierson was arraigned in Falmouth District Court on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and destruction of property under $250. His pretrial hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18.

Also, because of incorrect information provided to the Times, the charges against Pierson in Barnstable Superior Court were incorrect. Pierson pleaded guilty to one count of assault and battery Sept. 6. A Superior Court warrant for Pierson issued Nov. 21 was related to a probation violation stemming from new charges pending against him in Falmouth.

December 13, 2012

Because of an editing error, a story on Page A1 of Wednesday's Times contained incorrect information about how long a judge allowed visits to occur between the father and son in a contentious custody case. In addition, because of a reporting error in the same story, the year the mother came to the United States with the boy was incorrect. They immigrated in 2006.
