Correct hours for Wellfleet art exhibit

Because of an editing error, the Smart Art column on Page 19 of Friday's CapeWeek listed incorrect hours for the Sand T Kalloch exhibit at Farm Project and Gallery Space in Wellfleet. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays and by appointment.

Police officer's blood alcohol level was 0.12

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A2 of Thursday's Times had incorrect information about the blood alcohol level of Barnstable Police Officer Scott Kynoch when he was arrested for drunken driving in Vermont on July 13. Kynoch's blood alcohol level was 0.12 at the time, according to court documents. The state's limit for driving under the influence is 0.08.

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A3 in the Sept. 8 Times contained incorrect information about Provincetown High School. The school's largest senior class was 75 students in 1975.

Assault and battery charge was dismissed

September 18, 2012

Because of a reporting error, the disposition of an assault and battery charge against Darien R. Deschaine, 51, 810 Massasoit Road, Eastham, in the Aug. 27 Times was incorrect. The charge was dismissed at the time of the arraignment.

Williams served on organization's board

September 18, 2012

Because of incorrect information supplied to the Times, Bruce Williams' role with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands was misstated in the Nonprofit Notes column on Page A9 of Wednesday's Times. Williams is a past member of the organization's board of directors.

Correction: Cobert is Sinfonietta's principal flutist

September 18, 2012

Because of a reporting error, a review that appeared on Page B10 of Monday's Times on Simon Sinfonietta's Saturday night concert at Falmouth Academy included incorrect information. Peggy Friedland performed the flute solo but Claude Cobert remains the principal flutist for the group.

For the record: Sturgis, Nauset officials' names wrong

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Thursday's Times misspelled the name of Eric Hieser, executive director of Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis. Also, Nauset Regional High School Principal Thomas Conrad's first and last names were transposed.

Because of a reporting error, the date for a second presentation of "She Fought for You!" was incorrect in the Best Bets section of Friday's CapeWeek. The lecture, sponsored by the American Association of University Women, will be held 7 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. David's Church, 205 Old Main St., South Yarmouth.

For the record: Team dismissed then reinstated manager

Because of an editing error, a headline on a letter to the editor on Page A8 of Friday's Times misstated the organization that fired Jeff Trundy as field manager of the Cape Cod Baseball League's Falmouth team. The Falmouth Commodores franchise dismissed Trundy, who since has been reinstated.

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a reception for an exhibit of artwork by Elizabeth Hogan had the wrong date on Page 13 of Friday's CapeWeek in a Fall for the Arts pullout section. That reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at Brewster Ladies' Library, 1822 Main St.

For the record: Fernandes visitation is at funeral home

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Wednesday's Times about Albino "A.J." Fernandes included incorrect information about memorial events. Visiting hours will be from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St., Falmouth. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Parish, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth.

For the record: Buzzards Bay veterans cookout is not free

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, an item on Page A3 of Wednesday's paper about the Gold Star Memorial Coach was incomplete. There is no charge for veterans or their families to take the train from Hyannis to Buzzards Bay and back on Saturday. There is a fee for the lobster bake in Buzzards Bay organized by the Korean War Veterans Association, but that event is sold out. Only those who have bought tickets to the lobster bake will have a reserved spot on the memorial coach; others may ride in one of the other train cars.

For the record: Letter writer's credentials clarified

Because of an editing error, a letter to the editor on Page A8 of the Oct. 3 Times did not include relevant information about the writer, Evelyn P. Hayes of Yarmouthport. Hayes earned a master's degree in social work from the Heller School for Advanced Studies in Social Work at Brandeis University in Waltham and is a retired professor from Simmons College in Boston and Barry University in Miami.

New Peace Corps plaque unveiled Sunday

Because of a reporting error, a photo that ran on Page A3 of Monday's Times was of an existing sign on the Kennedy Legacy Trail, not the plaque dedicated at Aselton Park in Hyannis on Sunday to commemorate the Peace Corps. The new plaque is above.

For the record: Cobb Trust gave $25,000 to park

November 14, 2012

Because of a reporter's error, Sean Gonsalves' column that appeared on Page B1 of Sunday's Times incorrectly reported the amount of money Cobb Trust gave to the Cobb Astro Park at Barnstable High School. The Cobb Trust, at the end of David Cole's tenure, was worth about $4 million. The trust provided $25,000 over eight years to the building of the Astro Park.
