Because of incorrect information supplied to the Times, the 'Behind the Scenes'arts column on page D1 of Sunday's Cape Cod Times listed the incorrect staff for a production of 'Hope for the Holidays: the 1962 Special from Nowhere, U.S.A.' scheduled to be produced in December at Cotuit Center for the Arts. Jo Hull Brisbane will be writer and producer, while Tristan DiVincenzo will direct and Malcolm Granger will be musical director.

Because of an editing error, an editorial on Page A8 of Thursday’s Times incorrectly identified the ethnicity of protesters in Iran. They are Iranian, not Arab.

Powicki’s name misspelled in story

Because of a reporting error, a story about the Cape Light Compact on Page A3 of Monday's Times gave the incorrect spelling of Christopher Powicki’s name.

Details about Jan. 3 crash incorrect

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, an item on Page A2 of the Jan. 5 edition included wrong details about a crash two days earlier in Mashpee. Joshua Sawyer, 28, of Centerville, was driving a Nissan Sentra on Cotuit Road toward Route 130 when the vehicle hit a utility pole, according to police and fire department officials. Three people were in the car at the time, police said

Criminal justice bill in conference committee

Because of a writer’s error, an editorial on Page A7 of the Jan. 9 Times incorrectly reported the status of the criminal justice reform bill on Beacon Hill. It is now in a House-Senate conference committee.

32 years of service needed for 80 percent pay

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A1 of Wednesday’s edition about Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne had the wrong number of years of service required for a retired public employee who is at least 55 to collect 80 percent of his or her pay. The employee must have 32 years of service to qualify

Ryan’s title incorrect in Haiti story

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Friday’s Times incorrectly identified Thomas Ryan’s title with the Cape Cod Council of Churches. Ryan is the chairman of the group’s Migrant and Refugee Committee.

Little Pond Village hearing resumes March 15

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A3 of Friday’s Times gave the wrong date for the continuation of a Zoning Board of Appeals hearing on the Little Pond Village of Falmouth Heights project. The hearing will resume March 15.

Photographers not credited for theater photos

Because of an editing error, photo credits were omitted from two photos that appeared on Page 5 of Friday’s CapeWeek. Michael and Suz Karchmer took the photo of “The Liar.” Barbara Woodbury took the photo of “Max’s Number.”

Former Brewster officer admitted sufficient facts

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Monday's Times included incorrect information about the outcome of two cases against former Brewster police Officer Joseph Houston.

Houston admitted to sufficient facts on charges of assault, indecent exposure, and assault and battery. The cases were continued without a finding, according to court documents.

Sean Maloney was to escort King

Because of a reporting error, a story about U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Patricia King on Page 1 of Tuesday's Times incorrectly named the congressman scheduled to escort her to the visitors gallery for the State of the Union address. King was to be escorted by U.S. Rep. Sean Maloney, D-N.Y

Wrong weather graphic appeared in paper

Because of a production error, an out-of-date AccuWeather weather graphic appeared on Page B8 in Friday's paper.

Chart on drug overdoses contained wrong information

Because of a production error, a chart accompanying a story on Page One of Sunday's Times about drug overdoses contained incorrect information for overdose calls in Cotuit. The figure for 2016 is unavailable; in 2017, it was nine.

Nauset principal did not send letter Friday

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A3 of Saturday's paper contained wrong information about a letter to parents sent by Nauset High School Principal Eduardo MacDonald.

Sandwich woman raising funds for 2 charities

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Tuesday’s Times contained incorrect information about the purpose of Renee DeMarsh’s current fundraising. DeMarsh, who completed the World Marathon Challenge, is raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands and Carver Elementary School, so the school can create a fitness trail through the woods. Proponent of dog meeting misidentified

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, one of the individuals who pushed for a dangerous dog forum Tuesday was misidentified. A Forestdale woman who was attacked by a dog in September was among those pushing for the meeting, according to state Rep. Randy Hunt, R-Sandwich, who helped organize the forum

Doctor misspoke on peanut allergy research

In a story about a preventive treatment for peanut allergies that appeared in Wednesday’s Times, The Associated Press erroneously reported the results of previous research based on comments by Dr. Andrew Bird.

Bird said he misspoke and meant to say that tolerating one peanut reduces the risk of a reaction by 95 percent, not that it protects 95 percent of children allergic to peanuts.

Fire was at 45 Spring St.

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A2 of Monday’s Times contained an incorrect address for a fire. It was at 45 Spring St., Hyannis

Hyannis fire started at 40A Spring St.

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A3 of Monday's edition and a correction on Page A2 on Tuesday contained the wrong location for a fire that occurred Sunday. The fire started at 40A Spring St. in Hyannis and spread to 45 Ridgewood Ave.

Juvenile released on personal recognizance

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A2 of Tuesday’s paper was wrong about the conditions for the release of a juvenile boy charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 with serious injury. The juvenile was released on personal recognizance to his mother.

Editorial mischaracterized intent of petition article

Because of a writer's error, an editorial on Page B4 of Sunday's Times mischaracterized the intent of a petition article related to the former drive-in site on Route 28 in West Yarmouth. The article seeks to prohibit construction of a pathway, boardwalk or bridge 'extending from the former drive-in site.' Also, the editorial incorrectly described Yarmouth's purchase of the site in 1985. The property was purchased for 'recreational and/ or preservation' purposes

Falmouth Forum talk on Russia canceled

A Woods Hole talk about science in Russia that is listed as a Best Bet for tonight on Page 9 of today’s CapeWeek was canceled after the magazine’s publication deadline. The Falmouth Forum lecture by professor Loren Graham on 'Visiting Russia Over Half a Century' is expected to be rescheduled at the Marine Biological Laboratory. First name wrong in court item

Because of a reporting error, an item on Page A2 of Thursday's Times incorrectly identified a man charged with distributing counterfeit $100 bills. Wyatt St. Germain, 21, of Harwich Port, pleaded not guilty to the charge Wednesday in Orleans District Court, according to court records.

Incorrect time given for school meeting

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A1 of Thursday's edition gave the wrong time for a meeting held at St. Margaret Regional School in Buzzards Bay. The meeting was scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Source of sea level rise data wrong in story

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Thursday’s Times incorrectly attributed the source of data about sea level rise. Under an intermediate scenario based on projections generated for the National Climate Assessment in 2017, the Northeast could see 2 to 4 feet of sea rise by 2100. In addition, a statement by U.S. Geological Survey geologist Erika Lentz requires clarification. Lentz said worst-case projections of upward of 11 feet for the region, while lower probability, are also possible.

Cahoon Museum reopens Wednesday

Because of a reporting error, the Best Bets column on Page 9 of Friday’s CapeWeek supplement included the incorrect date for the spring reopening of the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cotuit. The museum will open Wednesday with two exhibits: “A Swedish Folk Tale” and “Scrimshandering: Ralph Cahoon, Scrimshaw, and Nantucket Whaling Heritage.” An opening reception will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday. Charity runner’s ‘patient partner’ is Nathaniel

Because of a 2 reporting errors, the name of the “patient partner” for a Boston Marathon charity runner was incorrect in a story on Page A1 of Sunday’s Times. The first name of runner Joseph Carroll’s partner is Nathaniel. The story also misstated the location for Colleen Cecchi’s fundraiser; it is at Bobby Byrne’s Restaurant & Pub in Hyannis.

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, an item on Page B1 of Sunday's edition included a wrong email address to RSVP for a legislative breakfast planned for 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Unitarian Church of Barnstable. RSVPs must be sent to mlariv@comcast. net
