Because of an editing error, a headline on page A7 in Tuesday's Times misidentified the subject of a wire-service obituary. Gustav Schonfeld was an Auschwitz survivor who became a famed physician.

Correction: Defendant's name is Timothy Gaskill

Because of a reporting error, the name of one of the defendants in the Court Report for Barnstable District Court on Page B11 of Monday's Times was incorrect. Timothy Gaskill was found guilty of stalking and several other offenses.

Because of an editing error, the time and location of a Memorial Day event in Dennis listed on Page A2 of Saturday's Times was incorrect. The Dennis Memorial Day observance and parade starts at 9:30 a.m. Monday. The speaking program begins at 10 a.m. on the Village Green on Route 6A.

Speaker misquoted in graduation story

Because of a reporting error, a quote attributed to Sir Harold Evans was incorrect in the story about Cape Cod Community College's graduation ceremony on Page A1 in Friday's Times."†The story should have stated, "When Evans was born, the world had no email, TV, FM radio, cell phones, helicopters or antibiotic drugs, he said, adding 'there was no such thing as the uplift brassiere.'"

Volunteers to remove flags on Saturday

The day volunteers are needed to remove flags from the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne was incorrectly reported in the story that appeared on Page B1 of Sunday's Times. Volunteers are needed Saturday, starting at noon, to help pull 50,000 flags that are decorating veterans' graves at the cemetery.

The story has been corrected.

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a photo caption on Page A1 of Friday's newspaper incorrectly described the Sinclair House in Orleans. The Sinclair House is a jewelry store that buys and sells jewelry, coins, silver and gold. Also, in the same story, it was Sgt. Barney Murphy who successfully contacted the North Wales Police to help with the search for the stolen medal's owner.

Cape hospital CEO Lauf praised value of nurses

Correction: Hope in Bloom story had inaccuracies

Because of reporting errors, a story about Hope in Bloom on Page A3 of Thursday's Times had the wrong date for the death of Beverly Eisenberg and an incorrect location for where Alison McCutcheon's father found cards for Hope in Bloom. Eisenberg died from breast cancer in 2005. McCutcheon's father saw cards for the nonprofit group at The Corner Store, which is a Chatham cafe.

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a Page A1 story in Thursday's paper incorrectly identified the nonprofit partner working with Stop & Shop to find housing for J-1 workers. The Lower Cape J-1 Summer Host Housing Program is sponsored by the Orleans United Methodist Church and the Barnstable County Human Rights Commission.

The story has been corrected.

Photograph caption information incorrect

Because of editing errors, information was incorrect in two photo captions with the Viva­fest! story in the Times' food pages Wednesday. The quinoa taboulleh on Page C1 was made by Fancy's Market in Osterville, and the photo on Page C2 shows platters made by the Dolphin Restaurant in Barnstable.

Kathleen and Maurice Gonsalves are friends of the family of graduate Kaitlyn Russell. Gail and Eugene Sparks of Truro are Russell's grandparents. The story has been corrected.

Wrong disposition in Orleans court case

Because of a reporting error, the disposition of charges in Orleans District Court against Dominique Brown was incorrect in the May 28 Times. Brown, of 80 Winter St. in Hyannis, pleaded guilty on May 25 to indecent assault and battery of a person older than 14 years on April 28, 2008, and was sentenced to 18 months in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility with 84 days to serve (deemed served) and two-year probation; Brown also admitted sufficient facts to indecent assault and battery of a person older than 14 years, which was continued without a finding for two years.

Because of an editing error, a photo caption of the Harwich graduation ceremony on Page A3 of Monday's Times wrongly identified the man next to graduate Cassandra Hannon. He was Harwich School Committee chairman Thomas Blute.

Also, because of a photographer's error, the photo caption of the Harwich graduation on Page A1 had the wrong school for teacher Christine Donovan. She teaches fifth grade at Harwich Middle School.

224 seniors graduated from Sandwich High

Wrong number used in story about sales tax (no link)

Because of a wire service error, an Associated Press report about collecting sales tax on Internet sales on Page A5 of Monday's edition incorrectly reported the number of teachers' salaries that could be paid with the $23 billion in uncollected sales and use taxes. The number should have been 460,000.

Name misspelled, attribution incorrect

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Monday's Times about a proposed dress code at a Falmouth school had the wrong spelling of Susan Kelleher's name. Also, a quote was incorrectly attributed to her. Vicki Yarosh said, "I'm not happy to have to go out and buy new clothes."

Because of insufficient information supplied to the Times, a letter to the editor on Page A8 of Thursday's Times written by Katharine Cote of Osterville did not reveal that she is the mother of James Cote, who is running against incumbent James Crocker for a Barnstable Town Council seat.

Correction: Canedy named in meeting complaint

Because of a reporting error, the name of one of the six Barnstable town councilors named in an Open Meeting Law complaint filed by Town Councilor Janet Joakim was omitted from a story on Page A4 of Thursday's Times. Ann Canedy is among the town councilors who Joakim claims have agreed to vote in a block on certain issues.

Because of an editing error, a brief on Page A3 of Monday's Times gave the wrong date for the first meeting of the Monomoy Regional School Committee. The committee's first meeting is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harwich Elementary School on South Street. The air-conditioned location is a change from the original meeting site at Harwich High School.

According to documents provided by the Compact, it has not inappropriately diverted any energy-efficiency funds.

Correction: Ethics panel canceled one of two plays

A headline on Page A1 of Friday's Times requires clarification. Falmouth Hospital's ethics committee nixed readings from one of two plays set for a performance Tuesday night in front of the Falmouth Public Library. But the show goes on.
