Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A10 of Thursday's Times misstated the cause of the power outage in Wellfleet and Eastham on Wednesday. The cause is unknown but the outage was not because of a failure of NStar equipment, according to spokesman Michael Durand.

Because of an editing error, the caption of a photograph on Page A1 of Saturday's Times contained incorrect information about when the Old Harbor Life-Saving Station at Race Point in Province-town was moved there. The station was moved in 1977 from its original location in Chatham.

A solar energy project that has been proposed by the town of Barnstable and the Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative for an area south of Independence Drive in Hyannis is not located on land owned by Independence Park Inc., according to the corporation's president, Mark Thompson.

Because of a reporter's error, a story on Page A1 of Sunday's Times misidentified the location of a sea wall that marine geologist Mark Borrelli blames for scouring a deep channel robbing the tidal flow from the 2007 Chatham break. Borrelli was referring to a sea wall that runs from Holway Street along Watch Hill Way and north.

Average taxpayer cost for firehouse $3,300

Because of a writer's error, an editorial on Page B4 of the Feb. 16 Times incorrectly reported the total cost of the proposed Hyannis fire station to the average taxpayer.

According to Richard Gallagher, commissioner of the Hyannis Fire District, the residential tax impact in the first year on a home valued at $311,000 would be $42.72. The next year it would rise to $152.78 and drop from there. The total cost over 30 years would be $3,309.73.

Correction: Knight Auditorium capacity is 340

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A3 of Wednesday's Times contained incorrect information about the capacity of Knight Auditorium at Barnstable High School. The auditorium seats 340 people, and the Performing Arts Center, also located at the high school, seats 1,430 people, according to David Kanyock, Barnstable Public Schools director of facilities.

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A2 of Friday's Times included incorrect information about the Federal Emergency Management Agency's new flood zone maps. The maps will be effective in Nantucket County on June 9, and in Barnstable County on July 16. The new flood maps for Dukes County are on hold until a final constituent meeting with members of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) can be held. Plymouth County's flood map implementation is on hold until an appeals process is completed sometime in 2015.

Forty percent of the fund goes to the state and another 19 percent goes to regional tourism councils.
