Adams, who was named a recipient of the 2017 Massachusetts Super Librarian Award by the Massachusetts School Library Association, is the high school librarian at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School in Bourne.

After receiving public comments, the state Department of Environmental Protection issued a new analysis that found 71 percent of the overall nitrogen load that had to be removed from the river came from septic systems and only 10 percent came from agricultural sources
