Mass Cash numbers incorrect

Because of an editing error, the numbers for Tuesday's Mass Cash drawing listed in Thursday's Times were incorrect. The correct numbers are 8-17-18-25-28.

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of Tuesday’s Times included the incorrect number of hotels at the proposed First Light casino in Taunton. There are three hotels with 300 rooms each planned at the casino.

Pilgrim critic says proposed law would save billions

Because of incorrect information provided to the Times, a story on Page A1 of Friday's Times about proposed state legislation that would require the owner of Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station to pay $25 million a year into a decommissioning fund contained a quote that was not what the speaker intended to say. Mary Lampert, a Duxbury resident and president of Pilgrim Watch, meant to say that the law would save state taxpayers between $5 billion and $60 billion.

Because of a reporting error, a story on page A1 of Monday’s Times incorrectly identified the rank of John Robert Kotfila’s grandfather. Robert Cahoon was a staff sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police. That rank no longer exists.

Leslie arraigned in January 2015

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A2 of Wednesday’s Times incorrectly stated when Tricia Leslie was arraigned in Barnstable Superior Court on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Leslie was arraigned on those charges in January 2015.

Because of a writer's error, an editorial on Page A8 of Thursday's Times gave the incorrect size for a proposed school building and attached barn on Route 6A, Sandwich. The building and barn would be 6,470 square feet.

Main property shown in photo not for sale

The caption of a photograph on Page A1 of Saturday's Times showing the view of Paw Wah Pond from Selectman Alan McClennen's house on Namequoit Road in South Orleans requires clarification. The majority of the land and the house shown in the photo are privately owned and not under consideration for purchase by the town. Only a small point of the property on Little Pleasant Bay that is being considered is visible from McClennen’s home.

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A3 of Wednesday’s Times misidentified the cost of proposed affordable homes discussed Tuesday during Provincetown Town Meeting. The town would have subsidized the cost of the homes by putting $175,000 toward them if a proposed land swap had passed, Town Manager David Panagore said.

Item misstated who called police

Because of a reporting error, an item on Page A2 of Thursday’s Times misstated who called police before the arrest of Anthony Vieira of New Bedford. A neighbor had alerted police to a disturbance before the arrest, according to a police report.

Because of a reporting error, Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll's 'Behind the Scenes' column that appeared on Page D1 of Sunday's Times had incomplete performance dates for the musical 'God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater' at Cape Cod Community College. The production, based on a Kurt Vonnegut novel, will run at 7:30 p.m. April 14-16 and April 21-23 and 2 p.m. April 16-17 and April 23-24. Veterinarian’s name omitted from story

Because of an editing error, the first name of Dr. Larry Venezia of Hyannis Animal Hospital was omitted in a story that appeared on Page A1 of Monday's Times.

The details of the proposed acquisition haven’t been worked out, but it’s likely the land would not cost the town any money, according to Paul Wisotzky, chairman of the Truro Board of Selectmen

Pie recipe takes 1/3 cup of sugar

Because of an editing error, the measurement for sugar was wrong in the recipe for Doris Chatterton’s Cranberry Nut Pie that ran on Page C1 of Wednesday’s Times. The correct recipe is:

Cranberry Nut Pie

■ 2 cups cranberries

■ 1 cup chopped walnuts

■ 1 1⁄3 cups sugar, divided

■ 1 cup flour

■ 1 teaspoon cinnamon

■ 1 teaspoon vanilla

■ 1 egg

■ 1 ½ sticks melted butter Place 2 cups of whole cranberries in a buttered pie plate. Cover with 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of sugar on top. In a bowl, place remaining 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add 1 egg and 1 ½ sticks of melted butter. Beat with mixer and pour over cranberries and nuts. Place pie on cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.

Yo-Yo Show starts at 3:15 p.m.

Because of a reporting error, a story in Wednesday’s business briefs that listed the start time for the Yo-Yo Show during Sunday’s Lego Home-Building Challenge was incorrect. The show will start at 3:15 p.m

CORRECTION

Hyde buyout funding source incorrect

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A1 of the March 17 Times contained incorrect information about the source of funds for the first portion of Mashpee Public Schools Superintendent Brian Hyde’s buyout. The district is using $51,200 that had been budgeted to cover preschool costs and $26,320 that had been budgeted to cover special education paraprofessional positions, both of which were subsequently covered by state grants. State grant funding is not being used to pay for the buyout.

Because of a reporting error, a story about Vietnam veterans on Page A1 of the March 30 edition of the Times contained incorrect information about where Mike Campbell, of Wareham, wrote the song “Way Down Blues.” Campbell wrote the song in a room called “the bunker” at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Boston.
