Gill not charged with drug offenses

Because of a reporting error, the name of a second man arraigned on drug charges in Falmouth District Court on Tuesday was incorrect in Wednesday’s Times. Sean E. Dugus, 20, of 47 Renee Lane in East Falmouth, was charged with conspiracy to violate the drug laws, trafficking in cocaine more than 18 grams and possession of a class D drug to distribute. Robert R. Gill Jr., of 12 Penikese St. in West Wareham, was incorrectly named.

Funds raised, name incorrect in story about charity

Because of reporter’s error a story on Page A1 of Monday’s Times incorrectly stated the amount of money raised during this year’s Challenge Walk for Multiple Sclerosis. The 14th annual walk raised $762,412. Because of a photographer’s error, the caption of a photograph in the same story contained the incorrect spelling of Scott Rickards’ name.

Nature of arrest misstated

Because of an editor's error, the headline of a log on Page A2 of Monday's Times misstated the nature of an arrest. A man was arrested Sunday night in Hyannis after he appeared to be trying to break into cars, according to police.

Because of a reporter’s error, a story on Page A1 of Thursday’s Times incorrectly characterized a ruling by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Jennifer Roberts, a Cape Cod lawyer who has been nominated to serve on the Land Court, represented one of two neighbors who lost the appeal of a 2013 Land Court decision over a right of way in Dennis.

Because of 2 reporting errors, the Dennis town meeting story on Page A3 of Tuesday's Times incorrectly characterized the vote on an article to purchase a gas station property in Dennis Port. The article, which needed a two-thirds majority, was soundly defeated. The amount of community preservation money being used to put lights in Johnny Kelley Park also was incorrect. The $315,000 lighting cost is being completely covered by community preservation funds.

Because of a production error, a news brief that appeared on Page

A3 of Thursday's Times contained the incorrect date of a planned decision on a new Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School Committee member. The Yarmouth Board of Selectmen plans to decide on the appointment at its meeting Nov. 3.

Clyde Barrow a university professor

Because of a reporting error, a Sept. 23 story on the state of the Massachusetts casino industry had the incorrect affiliation for Clyde Barrow. He is a professor at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. A word also was missing from a Barrow quote. In speaking about a study done by a developer’s consultant, he said, “Innovation Group never factors in cannibalization adequately.”

Maurice Anderson indicted on multiple charges

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page B6 of Tuesday’s Times gave the incorrect name of a man indicted on drug and ammunition charges. Maurice Anderson, of Hyannis, was indicted on two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and one count each of possession of ammunition and being an armed career criminal.

Surf clam rules incorrect

Because of a reporting error, a story on Page A2 of Thursday's Times incorrectly described wetlands regulations in Provincetown.

The Wetlands Protection Act bans hydraulic dredging inside an area where the water depth is less than 40 feet in Cape Cod Bay, as measured at mean low water, without a permit from the Provincetown Conservation Commission.
