Repeating repeats
I know in the summer, there used to be lots of repeats.
Now I'm seeing them in the newspaper. I'm pretty sure I am am anyway.
I remember a story about the man that built a steamboat in Wellfleet, Photos have just shown up
Fox Hill Island video too.
Same with the breakwater video (no link, too lazy).
Best of / Top 10 gets a re-hash every year, same fish & chips, clams, chowder, beach, etc.
I'll post as I see them, debate is welcome.

Re: Repeating repeats
What I don`t miss are those corny radio ads.. Thompsons Clam Bar for one.
For the first time in years, this summer I haven`t had or made the time to read much of the newspaper. [ been very busy becoming a scientist & unofficial self-appointed Fish & Game warden take up much of my time ] Threw out an entire week and 1/2 of newspapers yesterday - after skimming the opinon section & the obits. Not to be morbid, but I did grow up on the Cape.

You mean like this? Thompson’s Clam Bar Jingle
It was the unofficial start of summer when it came on the radio. By Labor Day I was glad they closed for the season. It's where the "immigration problem" on Cape Cod started. They hired Irish kids that could stay past Labor Day whereas US college kids went back to school. Remember when American college kids used to come here for the summer to work and party? Driven off by high rents and pay that didn't increase as well. Victims of our own success...
Oh well, I've learned Russian.
Yeah, I read the obits too, see who's parents have died with the occasional friend.

Top 10: Cape's best street names
September 15, 2010
Don't think Elm, Maple, Main or Depot streets. Not in this space, anyway.
Late last year we asked our readers to pick the most offbeat, whimsical or even mysterious Cape street names. Oddly, many street name noms came from the town of Barnstable (why, Barnstable, why?).
An esteemed panel of street sign experts here in the Times newsroom boiled it all down to a cool Top 10 streets for our gallery.
So, take a look at the results and enjoy this reprised Top 10 gallery:

Not only do I remember this Top Ten, I bitched about where to find "The Other Road" in D-Port. I don't see it listed this time around but someone commented on the directions there.
Post Labor Day vacations at the paper?
I found it! LOL

Online Vote for Top Ten Cape's Best Street Names: And I quote: "Another reader nominated 'The Other Road' in Dennis Port, but we couldn't find it on a map".
Epic. FAIL.
Shad Hole Rd south from 28, third left.
Butterworth 'Cape Cod and Islands Atlas', page 30, M-24.
Google Maps can't find it, Bing maps can. Click Here
Call Dennis Town Hall.

So who is worse though? The CCTimes for a re-run or me for remembering it and re-running a previous comment on a pretty much dead forum?

Getting to the bottom of a mystery
On today's CapeCast: See high-adventure video as we bushwhack through West Barnstable to No Bottom Pond, float out to the middle, and try to hit bottom! A CapeCast classic from last summer.

Top 10: Scariest films of all time
October 21, 2010
Halloween is coming up and what better time of the year to get really, really scared.
So we asked our readers what films scared them the most. And because we got so scared putting this list together - and felt that the fright factor needed to be exorcised - we decided to add five additional picks to this Top 10, a timeless reprise Top 10 list from last year.
There was a clear scary winner, but you'll have to look at the gallery to find out more.

Lame. Like wearing the same Halloween costume every year. Well, OK, I actually wear a skeleton earring every year, but you get the point.

Cape Cod Top 10 birds
By CAPE COD TIMES
December 15, 2011
The annual Christmas Bird Count began Wednesday - and to salute our fine, feathered friends, this week's Cape Top 10 highlights our readers' favorite birds.
The annual bird count runs through January 5 and provides a great excuse to get outside and commune with nature and the birds, according to the Audubon Society.
This week's Cape Top 10 is a reprise from earlier this year - and some of the birds in the gallery have smartly flown the coop to warmer climes to escape our crummy weather.
Check out the results: View this week's Top 10 gallery

People are braving the elements to actually go outside and count birds.
CCT can't post a new top 10.
I still vote Cardinal.

Cape Top 10 rock bands ever
Cape Top 10 rock bands ever
By CAPE COD TIMES
March 01, 2012
What's rock 'n' roll without attitude, sweat-drenched vocals and walls of electric guitar madness? Well, it's just not rock 'n' roll, baby.
And for this classic Cape Top 10 we took the pulse of the land - readers and selected Times newsroom music maniacs - for the best rock bands ever. We even threw in some runner-ups to keep the peace after spirited arguments broke amongst some of the voters.

Not this again!
decent list but it's missing Van Halen
The Replacements? Really?
