New Computer

My tower is 15? years old. Started to make loud noises. Its still working, but is on its way out, I`ve only had it 8 years.

Went to Best Buy and bought new HP, the works! Too bad for them. Taking the entire thing back to the store today. There is no place for my dial-up connection. Plenty of folks still have dial-up. Such a racket.

Also the store worker said my new computer should last up to 4 years! Like this was a big selling point. Bah.

Question: Are all the new computers built this way? Also the new `puter` is a Windows `8`.

You probably just need a new fan. Maybe a cleaning.

Computers with a telephone modem are getting rare. I don't miss dial-up. I haven't faxed in 10 years.

A few computers with Windows 7 are on Newegg.

Must be the weather....?! Now my computer has gotten as quiet as a mouse.

I don`t like dial-up much, but its all I`ve got.

Who cleans fans? Yellow pages under `Fan` cleaners? Fans are round, correct? This noise sounds round.

3 kinds of fans:
1, Power supply fan. Back of the "Box", Plug is near it.
2, Box fan. Gets cool air into the "Box"
3, CPU Fan. Cools off the CPU chip.

They have a lifespan. Some times Dust Bunnies attack. Or cat hair.

Cheaper than a new computer. ($12.00)
