I find it somewhat ironic that a front-page article Nov. 5 states a Lowe's in Dennis "would threaten the ambiance that draws tourists to the Cape."
Those of us fortunate enough to live in South Yarmouth get to look forward to the quintessential New England atmosphere that an authentic colonial seven-story water slide will provide, not to mention the high-paying, high-skill jobs that such a facility delivers.
Clearly the powers that be in our town seek to emulate Coney Island. Ambiance shmambiance.
